The Town of Peralta is a Mayor, Council form of Government.
Elections for Mayor and Councilors occurs every two years with two Councilors elected during one election cycle, and the Mayor and two more Councilors elected two years later. The Municipal Judge is also elected the same election cycle as the Mayor and two Councilors. The Current Mayor Bryan R. Olguin is a lifetime resident of Peralta. He has served three terms as Mayor, since it’s first election, shortly after incorporation, in 2008.

The Town operates under a Mayor/Council Form of Government. There are approximately 4,000 residents in Peralta according to the 2000 US Census Statistics.
