The Town Administrator’s office serves an important role in Town government.
The Town administrator and Town Chief Financial Officer are appointed by the Mayor and Town Council to carry out policies and serves as the chief administrative officer in the Town of Peralta Government. The Town administrator also serves as a liaison to the Mayor and elected officials. Apart from the day to day duties, The Town Manager overseas all construction, funding and implementation of all contractual needs of the Town at the bequest of the Mayor and Town Council.
The Administration/Finance department is the first point of contact with the Town. The Administration has oversight on all departments and functions of the Town’s business. Administration manages the day to day operations of the Town and is responsible for accountability of all financial matters of the Town’s business.
Town Clerk: Kori Taylor
Kori resides in Peralta with her husband. Kori has been with the Town of Peralta for 4 years and a resident in Peralta for over 35 years. The town clerk oversee the administrative day to day operations and activities of the Town of Peralta including, capital outlay projects, economic developments, and assigned personnel. Treasurer, Deputy Clerk: Steve Robbins
Steve resides in Bosque Farms with his wife, Alana and family. Steve earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Finance and Real Estate from New Mexico State University. He has served in the local banking industry for 32 years before joining the Peralta Team. The town treasurer plays a vital role in the management of the finances of the town. He is responsible for keeping the towns accounts, investing money received by the town (with the approval of the legislative body), keeping a record of the taxes voted and paying orders drawn on him or her by officials authorized by law to draw orders on town accounts. The treasurer must work with the auditors to settle town accounts prior to the annual meeting, and he or she is often called upon to provide the Town Council with information about town finances. The treasurer can also perform the function of collector of current and/or delinquent taxes.
Front Desk, Administrative Support: Betty DuMont
Betty Resides in Peralta, NM. Betty has a degree in Computer Accounting, was a CPR Instructor, and is a NM Notary, has worked in the Administration field for 40 years prior to joining the Peralta team, having been with the town for only 3 months. When calling the town, you will most likely talk to Betty and receive assistance regarding; business licenses, Planning and Zoning, Animal Control, Public Works and Code Enforcement questions.
